Policies, plainly stated.

This site is informational and collects nothing on its own. The four documents below describe how that works.

01 Privacy policy

What we collect, and what we don't.

What we collect

Only what you choose to type into the contact form: your company, name, work email, and optionally your phone number, the number of tanks in your network, a site location, and a description of the decision in front of you.

How it reaches us

Submitting the form opens your own email program with those details filled in. You send the message yourself. This site has no database and no server that stores what you typed, so until you send it, the information stays on your device.

What we do with it

We reply to you and discuss reading a tank. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Your message sits in our email records for as long as we have a working relationship or an active enquiry. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what you sent us, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Reach us through the contact form and we will act on it.

Third parties

Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address and browser details when the page loads. We run no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no session recording.

Children

This site serves fuel operators and industry stakeholders. It is not directed to anyone under 16.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we post the new version here with a new date. The responsible entity is Safe Tank Services, LLC, a Utah limited liability company. Reach us through the contact form or at alex.mader@safetankservices.com.

02 Terms of use

What this site is, and is not.

Informational only

This site describes what Safe Tank Services, LLC does. It is not an offer of service, a warranty, a guarantee of results, or an engineering opinion about any particular tank.

No substitute for a read, or for compliance

Nothing here tells you the condition of your tank. Only a read on that specific tank does. Regulatory duties for underground storage remain with the tank owner and operator, and nothing on this site relieves you of them.

Validation status

The method was developed and validated on steel at Southwest Research Institute, with peer-reviewed results. In-service underground deployment and application to fiberglass tanks are in validation and are not yet proven. Do not rely on the method for applications we describe as in validation.

Intellectual property

The text, diagrams, imagery, and marks on this site belong to Safe Tank Services, LLC. You may read and share pages; you may not republish them as your own or use our marks without written permission.

Accuracy

We keep this site current but do not warrant that every figure is complete or up to date. Third-party figures, including EPA counts of active underground tanks, change over time and belong to their sources.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Safe Tank Services, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on its contents.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law rules. We may update them, and continuing to use the site means you accept the version posted here.

03 Cookie notice

This site sets no cookies.

There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording, and nothing stored on your device to identify you or follow you between visits. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

The one outside request

Typefaces load from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address and browser details, the same as visiting any site that uses them. It sets no cookie for us. If your browser blocks it, the site still works and falls back to your system typefaces.

If that changes

If we later add analytics or any tracking technology, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

04 Accessibility

Built to be read by everyone.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is a target we work toward, not a certification we claim.

What is in place

Text and background colors checked against AA contrast ratios.
Navigation and the contact form work by keyboard, with visible focus outlines.
Every form field has a real label, not a placeholder standing in for one.
Headings run in order, so screen readers can move through the page by structure.
Text scales with browser zoom, and layouts reflow to phone widths.
Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limits

The homepage opens with a three-dimensional tank that moves as you scroll. It is decorative, and every fact it illustrates is also written out in text further down the page. The animation carries no information you cannot read.

Tell us what is broken

If something on this site keeps you from getting what you need, send us a note through the contact form and describe what happened. We will fix it and reply.
